Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026

GeeksArray ("we", "us") operates geeksarray.com. This page explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the site, we don't sell your data, and you can leave — with your data — at any time.

What we collect

  • Account data. If you create an account, we store your email address (your login), optional profile details you add (name, username, headline, links), and an optional mobile number if you choose to add and verify one. We use passwordless one-time codes — we never store passwords.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email and send you a weekly digest. Subscription is double-opt-in and every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Activity. Likes, bookmarks, comments, follows, and reading activity are stored against your account so the features work.
  • Training enquiries & seat bookings. If you enquire about or reserve a seat in a training batch, we store the contact details you provide (name, email, phone) and share them with the institute running that batch — that is the purpose of the enquiry. Booking-fee payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your card/UPI details.
  • Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) kept briefly for security and debugging.

Cookies and analytics

  • Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect forms (anti-forgery). These are required for the site to function.
  • Google Analytics helps us understand which articles are read, using cookies and anonymized usage data. Google processes this data per its own privacy policy.
  • Google reCAPTCHA protects our sign-up and login forms from abuse; Google's privacy policy and terms apply to it.

Who processes data for us

We use a small set of service providers to run GeeksArray: hosting on DigitalOcean, transactional and digest email via SendGrid (Twilio), SMS verification codes via Twilio, and payment processing via Razorpay for training booking fees. Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent your personal data. Ever.
  • We don't send marketing email you didn't ask for.
  • We don't show third-party advertising at this time.

Your rights and choices

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter with one click from any digest email.
  • Download your data — your account page lets you export the data we hold about you.
  • Delete your account — also available from your account page; this removes your personal data, subject to records we must keep by law (e.g. GST invoices for paid bookings).
  • Ask us anything about your data at contact-us@geeksarray.com.

Data retention and security

Account data is kept while your account is active. Server logs rotate on a short schedule. Backups are taken nightly and stored securely. All traffic to geeksarray.com is encrypted with HTTPS, and verification codes are stored only as one-way hashes with short expiry.

Children

GeeksArray is intended for a professional audience and not directed at children under 16.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Significant changes affecting account holders will be announced by email.
