Java + AI: Free Live Series
Evening Batch, Nov 2026
Free live online series for students, freshers and working Java developers. 12 sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00–9:30 pm IST, with recordings, an AI-reviewed final project and a certificate. No classes on 24 and 29 December.
About This Course
Java + AI is a free 6-week live series that shows you how to add AI to real Java applications, step by step. You start with the modern Java and Spring Boot skills every project needs, then learn how large language models work and how to use them from Java with Spring AI: prompts, structured output, chat with memory, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and tool calling. Every topic is hands-on, and you finish by building and presenting your own mini AI project.
Who Should Join
- Students and freshers who know basic Java and want AI skills for placements
- Working Java developers who want to start building AI features
- Anyone preparing for Java roles where Generative AI is now expected
Prerequisites
- Basic Java: classes, methods, collections
- A laptop with JDK 21+ and an IDE (IntelliJ IDEA Community or VS Code)
- No prior AI experience needed
What You'll Learn
- Modern Java features used in real projects: records, streams, Optional
- Building REST APIs with Spring Boot and Spring Data JPA
- How LLMs work: tokens, context windows, prompts and model choice
- Calling LLMs from Java with Spring AI
- Prompt engineering and structured JSON output
- Chat applications with memory and streaming responses
- RAG: embeddings, vector search and answering from your own documents
- Tool (function) calling and simple AI agents
- Building, testing and presenting a complete AI-powered Java project
Final Project
Build a small AI-powered Java application, for example a document Q&A assistant with RAG, a resume or job-description analyser, or a support chatbot with tool calling. Submit a GitHub repository with a README. Your project is reviewed by AI against a clear rubric, and the trainer can adjust the marks.
Certificate
Attend at least 75% of the sessions (9 of 12) and submit the final project to earn a verifiable GeeksArray certificate.
